Open Water Swimming
Due to very low water level, thus making the dreaded weed appear worse than it is - we have decided to close OWS.This means that there will be no swimming on Thursday 1st Sep onwards. If the situation improves, we will try to sneak a quick couple of sessions in before the water temp drops and we close for the winter.
Watch this space for news, but in the mean time, thank you for your support throughout the season.

Cycling and Running
The meeting location for cycling and running has returned to the lake.
A 2.5km run route has been marked out around the perimeter of the site (click here to view). There will be a £2 charge for using the facilities at Lakeside - toilets, showers, etc. - which will be covered by the swimming fee once the lake is open. The University require all visitors to sign in/out at reception. The rides are still leaving at 9:30am for 2-3 hours, followed by a 5k run. The Lakeside run route is across fields so be sensible with your trainer choice!

Athlete Profiles
Let others know your goals and achievements by sending us a short discription of what you have achieved last season, or new goals you have for this season, and we'll start a profile page. Include an action shot, and vital statistics (name and age), to help inspire others that might be undecided about trying triathlons. temevalleytri@gmail.com

Cycling and Running Information
The cafe at Top Barn is closed for the winter so we have relocated the Saturday cycling and running to the Wyre Forest Visitors Centre. We couldn't miss out on the all important post ride/run coffee and cake!
The rides are still leaving at 9:30am for 2 hours, followed by a 5k run through the forest. Forest trails can get muddy so be sensible with your trainer choice!

More Training!
We have set up some new training sessions to go with the current swim, bike, and run sessions!
15 minute 1-2-1 swimming sessions, and cycling and running at the Stourport Sports Club Track.

Rachel Ward and Kimberley Bills
Rachel and Kim recently completed the Little Beaver standard distance triathlon. Rachel reports as follows: The setting is fabulous using the grounds of the Duke and Duchess of Rutland at Belvoir Castle. The weather was not too bad apart from the wind. The swim was in a shallow lake, then at least a 400m run uphill to transition, 2 laps on the bike with one reasonable hill, then two laps of the run up to the castle and back. I (Rachel) was first in my age and the 26th female. My times were: 30.20 swim,1hr29 for bike and 48.30 for run, overall 2.5hrs. Kim came in 5th in our age in a time of 3hr29min. My result means I have qualified for Chicago world championships in September.
Congratulations Rachel and well done Kim, excellent results.
